FAQ
Without Vertical Load Bars, you can fit 10 pallets. With Vertical Load Bars, that doubles to 20 pallets.
All SCF intermodal containers are designed and built to fit two pallets side by side. This maximises the internal space to support the efficient transport of pallets.
Rather than source standard containers used by shipping lines, SCF designs containers in house specifically for transport customers. This means that all SCF intermodal containers are manufactured with features that are relied upon by logistics, 3PL and transports companies across the country.
Vertical Load Bars (VLB) are installed inside the container, and can be lowered by a single user with the included VLB tool to a desired height. The tool protects the user from injuries (think pinched fingers) and also makes it easy to reach the load bars when they are in the raised 'inactive' position.
When deployed, Vertical Load Bars provide a strong base that pallets can be stacked on, without placing any pressure on pallets underneath. This provides users with two levels to safely place pallets on, effectively doubling the internal pallet capacity of a container.
